Stella McCartney's great idea!

Stella McCartney had a great idea to have a very upbeat collection to keep people bright and happy in these times. She chose to use no leather and no fur. All her clothes are very bright and its that feeling of spring colors. She used a lot of finge which showed a lot of energy.

I have fallen in love with using different brushes in Photoshop and making abstract art. More to come!

Goodbye to a great fashion designer!

Alexander McQueen, A beautiful fashion designer was found dead in his London home last Thursday morning. It was said that it was most likely suicide but either way it is very sad. He was a very successful designer over the last 2 decades. His collections had an interesting flare that none could compare to. Hopefully he will not be forgotten! His mother passed after a long illness on Febuary 2nd and that deeply affected him. My thoughts are with his friends and family! =]

Spirit Week!

This week at CHAMPS is Spirit Week and yesterday was Nerd Day. I had fun shooting pictures of most of the kids who participated! I tried different angles like ones from the ground and from eye level; it was fun!

Who is JOB?

Jamie O'Brien is a really awesome surfer! He shows so much passion!I am going to start looking out for him when I am watching surf stuff!


But aside from that, I found during his new DVD teaser, an amazing camera angle! I am obsessed with it is the view from exiting a barrel! :P a new goal of mine once I get a protective water case for my camera.

Learn something new everyday!

So on Thursday I did another photoshoot with Elysia. We set up the white paper and played with colored light filters again. This go 'round I focused on creating a clear, crisp picture. I basically just made sure I was very still and my hands didn't shake.

Along with a new start to the semester, me and a few other students interested in photography are going to start trying new things with our photoshoots..... yesterday we tried colored filters over our soft-box lights. Playing with light is fun because of the different effects it adds on each picture and the difference it shows on each and every person.

Hearts4Haiti Benefit

The Hearts4Haiti benefit held here at CHAMPS high school was a huge success!
We had almost 300 guests and a lot of amazing performers!(Students and teachers performed) Food was donated from CPK and drinks from Rocco's Tavern. All of the money we raised is going towards a Haiti Relief Fund.
