I tried a different angle for this~ My cousin from the army and one of the new born in the family. I wanted to capture the happiness and the care-free life at the moment.
Benjamin "Sancho" Sanchis is looking like an awesome surfer. I was watching some of his stuff and it's entertaining. I am going to keep my eye on him because he might become really good.

Oh my gosh! I played on an iPad! It was very weird. I actually do not recommend buying it. I wouldn't want to have a laptop like that because I feel lke it wouldn't have enough space in it. The iPad also does not have a camera for photobooth which I know a lot of teenagers love.

I went to Coachella this past weekend and had an amazing time! It was the most amazing weekend I have ever had! The performances I saw and the friends I got to hang with made it so awesome! I am looking forward to going again next year. There was about 80,000 people each day!! and the countdown begins for Coachella 2011 =]
Winning the heat at Bells Beach, Kelly Slater felt it was a disappointing start for him. He just beat current World Champion Mick Fanning and moved up his rank to second place. I truely enjoy watching him surf- it is soooo entertaining!
This past weekend I was craving to do a photoshoot. I asked one of my friends who I know who has an interest in modeling if she wanted to be my model. We went to Lake Balboa and I got to play around with natural light.
I took this picture of miss unhappy and edited it. I took her nose and neck in a little and covered up all of her blemishes. I softenecd her skin and added more contrast to her eyes.
Everyone keeps talking about the big earthquake yesterday! I did not feel a thing! It had a magnitude of 7.2 at 3:40pm. It was 40miles south of the Mexico border.
So in New Media today, some of the girls tried a photography idea. Dru found an image of one of the Olson twins with a gypsy vibe to her portrait and wanted to try and copy the picture. We went out during our period and found an urban looking area at our school. The props were simple, some ethnic looking scarves and for some of the girls a little bit of make-up.
The most recent look for the Marc Jacobs collection was great! They used the idea of having all the models not look alike. They all had different hair colors and lengths-with different make up styles. I like this idea better because it creates more of a realistic outlook towards the world. =]
Lady Gaga's new song Telephone was a big hit. The big production music video came out on Thursday night and already has around 120,000 views! When I watched it the first time I was a little shockd but I realized I should have expected it. She has crazy style and is very out there-but in a fun exciting way. I give her props for being different and creating her own flair.
In my New Media class, we have been working on learning and understanding Color Theory. We have learned the difference between Hue,Tint, Saturation and the basics of the Color Wheel.
Last night I went to the Kings game at the Staples Center. They beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 6-0 with a very violent game. :P I have never realized how much fun hockey games are! While you are there, you get into the high energy and the insane moods that the whole crowd goes through. I brought my camera and I think I got some pretty cool shots. I will post the pics at a later point.
Chase Jarvis was asked to create an ad to represent Sandisk memory cards. This ad is supposed to show the speed and capacity of one of Sandisk's new cards. He is going to shoot a sequence of a snowboarder or skier and combine each shot in one photo.
Once they got back from the trip they took to New Zealand to shoot the pics, they went back to the studio to edit all there shots that Sandisk ended up loving and putting into snowboarding magazines.
The Asp world tour was back and the trials were at Snupper Rocks The trials were won by Blake Ainesworth but he was defeated by Cj Hobgood in round two.(I love him =D)
"Style is about what you want to wear and how you want to wear it;Fashion is what you see on a runway" says Marc Jacobs at the Louis Vuitton Spring 2010 collection.
The Louis Vuitton Runway was very inspired by modern fashion of young adults and bumping it up to have a certain pazazz. They used for exapmle, skateboarding shorts or summer dresses but added their own flair to it. Big afro's were used to create a contrast between the small silhouettes of the models and strong pink makeup was used under the eyes and on the cheeks.
Prada Spring 2010 collection models all have the same hair style and same make-up. Both the makeup and hair artists explained that they are going for simple yet more sophisticated. All the models have glossy red lips and a simple pigtails but bumped up a little to give a signature look.
